PGDBM a two year (Four semester) full time autonomous course,
equivalent to MBA, has been introduced from the academic year 1996-97.
The duration of each semester will be 15 weeks approximately. The
candidate will be required to do a fair amount of practical work
by way of projects, assignments, field work, presentations etc.
Maximum
marks in each subject will be 100 of which not less than 50 per
cent marks will be assigned for the final examination at the
end of each semester. The rest of the marks will be allotted
for regular evaluation in the form of presentations, project work,
assignments, mid-term examinations, attendance, vice-versa etc.

ADMISSION
PROCEDURE:
Admission
will be based on an Entrance Test, Group Discussion and Personal
Interview conducted by the Institute. Candidates appearing
for the final year exams can also apply, and if selected,
they shall be admitted provisionally.The
applicant should note the following instructions: 1. Only
application forms complete in all respects with attested copies
of certificates will be entertained. 2. Copies
of the passport size photographs should be affixed at the places
provided for in the application form.

STANDARD
OF PASSING:
In
order to pass any semester a student is required to obtain a minimum
of 50% of marks in each subject. A candidate failing
in more than 3 subjects in any semester will be deemed
to have failed in that semester and shall not be permitted to proceed
to the next semester. He, however, will be required to
re-register for the examination on payment of Rs.500/- and
appear for the same on application by paying the prescribed
fees.
On
successful completion of the course, the candidates will be awarded
a POST
GRADUEATE DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT by
the Institute.
